Create Gifting Campaigns

Manually create gifting campaigns to bulk-send gifts to your affiliates

Written by Ani Gupta

Social Snowball's gifting campaign feature lets you send free products to specific affiliates whenever you'd like - perfect for campaigns, holidays, or rewards.

Want to automatically send a gift when someone joins your program? Read our Welcome Gift guide.

Go to the Gifting tab in your Social Snowball dashboard and click Create Gift.

Enter a campaign name (e.g., Spring Promo Gift).

Select one or more products to include. You can also choose the number of gifts an affiliate can claim from the product options selected by you.

Select the recipients. You can send it to all affiliates, specific affiliates, or to affiliates in specific program(s). Once selected, click Create Gift to launch the gifting campaign.

By default, you can send gifts to up to 250 affiliates per campaign. To increase this limit, please contact support.

Once created, the gift becomes active immediately and appears in your Gifting tab. You can edit the gift campaign (for the ones that haven't redeemed their gift yet), view recipients, or stop redemption.

Each campaign will show one of the following statuses:

  • Active – Campaign is live and available for redemption.

  • Stopped – Campaign has been manually ended; remaining affiliates cannot redeem.

  • Fully Redeemed – All recipients have claimed the gift.

You can choose to send affiliates an email notification when they receive a gift from within the email section in the Customize tab under the Emails section.

NOTE

  • Affiliates who receive the gift can redeem it directly from their dashboard. Here's a tutorial you can share with affiliates.

  • Once an affiliate redeems the gift, an order will automatically be created in your Shopify Admin. Free gift orders can also be tagged in your Shopify Admin. (tutorial)

For detailed Gifting Analytics, navigate to the Reports>Gifting tab of your dashboard. Gifting analytics provides key metrics such as the program when the gift was sent, the current program, the redemption date, the gift order status, the product redeemed, and the total value of the gift. Similar to affiliate reporting, you can filter and sort Gifting Analytics to create custom reports.
