The Social Snowball Marketplace is where you find brands looking for creators. You join once, set up your profile, then apply to any brand whose program appeals to you. If the brand approves you, you become an affiliate in their program.
Joining the marketplace
From your affiliate dashboard, select Join Marketplace. You'll be asked for:
Your phone number
A shipping address, so brands can send you gifts and samples
The content categories you create in - brands see these on your application and use them to judge fit
Your Instagram account, plus TikTok if you'd like
Instagram is required. TikTok is optional, but connect it too if you post there - it gives brands more of your content to look at, which works in your favour.
Your Instagram needs to be a professional account (Business or Creator), connected to a Facebook Page you're an admin of. If yours isn't set up that way yet, follow Meta's guide to connecting Instagram to a Facebook Page before you join.
If you get pulled away partway through connecting an account, you won't lose your progress. Come back and you'll pick up where you left off.
Updating your profile
You can change your content categories at any time in your marketplace settings. Worth revisiting if what you post shifts over time, since categories affect which brands find you.
Finding brands
Search by keyword, or filter by category and country. Each category has its own trending list, ranked by which brands are attracting the most affiliate sign-ups right now. You can also filter for brands offering a free gift.
You'll only see brands that accept affiliates from your country. That's based on the country in your shipping address, so keep it accurate or you'll miss brands you could work with.
What a brand page tells you
Commission, average order value, and total affiliate revenue as a range
Discount details - who it applies to, which customer segments, and any minimum cart value
Their product showcase, description, industries, website, and socials
Any free gift on offer
Which channels are enabled: Shopify, Meta Ads, TikTok Shop
TikTok collabs, with commission shown per product
Recent mentions of the brand on Instagram and TikTok, so you can see what other creators are making
Every figure is shown in USD, whatever currency the brand actually sells in. That's deliberate, so you can compare brands directly rather than converting in your head.
Applying to a brand
Each brand has its own application form. Your name, email, and social accounts come from your profile, and brands can add their own questions on top. Some brands add none at all, in which case you'll see "No additional information is needed for this application" and can apply in one click.
What to know before you apply
Three applications every 24 hours.
You can't apply to a brand you're already an affiliate of.
One pending application per brand at a time.
If a brand rejects you, you can apply again after 90 days.
You need your Instagram connected.
The daily cap is there to keep applications considered rather than scattershot. Brands can see your partnership history and fulfilment rate, so a few well-matched applications tend to do better than volume.
Tracking your applications
The My Applications tab shows everything you've applied to, at one of three statuses: pending, approved, or rejected. You can search by brand name or filter by status, and open any brand's page again from there.
Once a brand approves you, you're an affiliate in their program and can start earning straight away. You'll get an email either way.
Your marketplace dashboard also shows a snapshot of your own stats across the brands you've worked with.
