Automated Outreach allows you to send personalized email sequences to creators you discover through Creator Search. Before enrolling creators, you must connect your email, set up forwarding, and configure your outreach sequence.
This guide walks you through everything required to set up and launch automated outreach.
STEP 1: Connect Your Email
Navigate to Integrations in your Social Snowball dashboard. In the Connect Your Email for Creator Outreach tile, click Connect to begin setting up the email you’ll use for outreach.
There are two methods to complete this; you can choose either:
Easy method
Step 1: Set up the sender address
Skip to Step 3 if you have integrated using the easy method.
Custom set-up method (Technical)
Enter the domain or subdomain you’ll use to send outreach emails. This should align with your brand’s website and the email addresses you typically use for external communication (e.g., creators.brandwebsite.com).
Note: We strongly recommend using a subdomain dedicated to creator outreach.
If your primary email is [email protected], create something like:
Domain: mail.brandwebsite.com
Email: [email protected]
Using a dedicated subdomain protects your main domain’s sending reputation and improves deliverability.
Once added, click Next to continue.
Add a DNS record for each item shown, copying and pasting the Name and Value exactly as provided.
DNS setup varies by provider, so log in to your domain host (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap) and add these records under DNS Settings.
When all records are added, return to Social Snowball and click Verify.
Once your DNS records are verified, set the sender name you want to use for creator outreach. This will form the first part of your “From” email address.
When you're done, click Add email to complete the setup.
STEP 2: Set Up Email Forwarding
To ensure Social Snowball can receive and track replies from creators, you must set up email forwarding from the Creator Outreach Sender Email address to:
This forwarding allows Social Snowball to automatically detect replies and update creator outreach statuses.
If you use Google Workspace (Gmail), follow the instructions below.
Log in to your Admin console
Go to: https://admin.google.com/
Use an admin account to sign in.
Navigate to Gmail Settings
In the sidebar: Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail
Open the Routing settings
Scroll down and click Routing (at the bottom of the content panel).
Add a new forwarding rule
Scroll to the section: Email forwarding using recipient address map
Click Add Rule.
Configure the forwarding rule
In the rule setup:
-Address - Enter your full Creator Outreach Sender Email. This MUST match the email you configured in Social Snowball.
-Map to Address - Enter the Social Snowball forwarding address:
[email protected]-Routing Options - Check: ☑ Also route to original destination
This ensures replies still reach your normal inbox and Social Snowball.
Save the rule
Click Save to apply the forwarding configuration.
Important: If you're using a new subdomain dedicated to creator outreach (for example, [email protected]), make sure to add an email alias for the main inbox (in this example, it would be [email protected]).
Steps (for this example) would be:
Google admin console>Directory>Users
Open the user that owns [email protected]
Click Add alternate email address (alias)
Add: [email protected]
Save
STEP 3: Edit & Enable the Email Sequence
Go to Creator Search → Email Sequence to customize the emails that will be sent to creators. Click the edit icon next to any email to open the editor.
Edit the subject line, top paragraph, body text, and closing message. A live preview appears on the right as you make changes.
Use the {var} menu to insert dynamic fields such as:
{Creator Name}{Instagram Username}{Brand Name}{Affiliate Signup Form Link}
These fields auto-fill for each creator.
For follow-up emails, choose when they should send (e.g., “Send after 24 hours”).
When you're done, click Save to apply your changes.
