Social Snowball can generate recurring commissions for affiliates who refer subscription orders, irrespective of how you manage subscriptions. A new commission is created each time the subscription renews, and you can also set different commission percentages or amounts for the first order in a subscription versus recurring orders.
To enable this, you'll need to make some adjustments in your Shopify admin.
Log in to your Shopify admin and go to the Discounts tab. From there, open the discount folder associated with the program for which you want to enable subscription sale tracking.
Please note that the discount folder is named after your Social Snowball program by default.
Within the discount folder, select Both under Purchase Type. This ensures that the discount codes and links for this specific program apply to both one-time purchases and subscriptions.
Next, scroll down to the Recurring payments for subscriptions section and select your preferred option.
If you wish to attribute commissions to affiliates on a set number of recurring payments in the subscription, choose Limit discount to multiple recurring payments and type in the number of payments you wish to track in the box that appears after.
If you wish to attribute commissions to affiliates on all the recurring payments in the subscription, choose Discount applies to all recurring payments.
Once done, hit 'Save'. Follow suit in other Social Snowball program discount folders to generate recurring commissions for all your affiliates across all programs in Social Snowball.
Once you've done this, log in to your Social Snowball dashboard, open the Programs tab, and click on the program you wish to integrate.
Open the Commissions tab inside the program settings.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Commissions tab and switch on the Enable subscription commissions toggle.
Choose the subscription app that you wish to integrate. Click Other if you use any other app or want a custom setting.
Enter the specific tag(s) and commission value for the first order and the recurring orders.
Click Save & Exit.
